I can’t believe the WRFS already came and went this year! It feels just like yesterday, I geared up and pushed myself out of my comfort zone to attend my first 2020 show. Now this year I had the honor of being invited by Susan Frock herself!
Due to my work schedule, I wasn’t able to arrive right when the doors open but I did make it just in time to down a glass of champagne and find a spot to stand minutes before the show started. This year the show took place at Linda’s Olympian Dance Studio and it was immediately a very different vibe than last year. This year the show’s atmosphere felt very dark, warm and vintage, slow moving whereas last year was very fast, flashy, and bright.
While the atmosphere was different, the show itself was still impeccable. It included designs from the Reading Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center, Albright College’s fashion students, and different shops in West Reading and Reading. The models were even more diverse this year in ethnicities, ages, genders, and body types. It was a sight to see and overall a great experience.
The dim lighting in combination with the set up did provide challenges in photographing the models. But it was a lot of fun to review the pictures and work hard to bring out the best in them. I had a lot of fun putting this together and am excited to share them with you all. Here are some of the looks for the 2020 West Reading Fashion Show.
