All Eyes on You – Emmanuel  “Manz” Mezquita

Last year, I created the “Who to Watch” list, which spotlighted 16 creatives or entrepreneurs from Reading, PA. In honor of the new list approaching, I followed up with the 2018 class to see what they’ve done since we started watching them.

How has your company/ brand/ you grown?

My fan base has grown from about 1,000 subscribers to 2,000 across YouTube and my following on has been up 50% since the start of the year.

What did you accomplish this year?

Besides releasing a couple singles, I started working on my debut album set to release in the earlier part of 2019. I graduated from Full Sail University and now doing freelance songwriting and mixing/engineer work.

What is the biggest lesson you learned?

This is a tough pill to swallow but I’m glad I got through this lesson unscathed and stronger. But I learned to not get complacent and that everything happens for a reason. The reason is always to prep you and strengthen you for what is coming. We all go through things. Instead of asking “why me” it’s best to accept full responsibility, put your best foot forward and keeping gunning for what you set your mind, heart and soul on. It’s bound to happen if that’s all invested.

Has your “why” changed?

My why has not changed, my focus just got locked in.

What’s next for 2019?

In 2019 I plan to drop my album, work with a lot more artist, from my city all the way to artists across the states and overseas. 2019 will also be the year I travel more and open up my vlogs to being more lifestyle and a whole bunch of new music. I’m really banking on 2019 to be the year I start making my mark with my music. So I plan to give it my all…
