The Sugar Factory is that place you always see in those Facebook videos that looks amazing but seems out of the way to go and find. However, when in Rome…you got to the Sugar Factory! Bae and I visited the one in New York and it didn’t disappoint.
What You Go For
The big attraction to the Sugar Factory is the big goblet cocktails (60 oz to be exact.) The menu has 14 different flavors that can be made sans alcohol. Some drinks are celeb inspired or curated (Mr. 305 has 2 that look delicious!) These drinks are also the only thing on the menu missing the prices. The goblets in the NYC location are $38 each which is a big chunk of change, however, for the amount of drink, candy, and wow factor, it was absolutely worth it. The drinks were delicious and had a good amount of alcohol. Unlike other restaurants where the fancy drinks are usually watered down, the Sugar Factory drinks pack a punch. One is enough to get the party started. Without the alcohol, I’m sure they’re still pretty good. Plus after the drink is done, you get the candy! There were a few families in the establishments celebrating birthdays and the kids were all excited for their goblets.
Not a big “big drink” drinker? No worries, the menu has regular sized drinks which looked just as delicious.
The food options are pretty extensive and range from basic to extra. Seeing as it was 11pm and I was starving, I got the Big Cheesy Burger of the “Monster Burger” section which had mac and cheese. It was huge and so so so good. I’m going to have to work extra hard at the gym this week to make up for it, but it was worth it. The pricing for the food is comparable to The Cheesecake Factory.
They also have a crazy dessert menu with some “insane” milkshakes as they call it. We were way too stuffed to even think about dessert but will try on the next visit.
With any place, the service can make or break your experience. I’m so happy to report that our service was amazing. The server was super attentive and you could tell the rest of the crew was too. They sing happy birthday, dance, and overall look like they enjoy their job. It was a full house, but everything we ordered was out in a timely manner.
If you are able to splurge a little, I highly recommend the Sugar Factory. Not only is everything delicious and looks just like the Instagram pics, it is a great experience!
