Poetry Tuesday: Brief

Written April 26, 2014

I want to forget you
Forget the brevity of your visit
But like a winter storm
You came in with no warning
On a cold empty night
And quickly turn my dark skies
Pink
And my black streets
White
And although cold
You filled me with warmth
But after winter must come spring
And the snow melts
Leaving the emptiness behind
